Our Story
Bossier Federal Credit Union was established in 1954 and founded on the credit union principle of people helping people. Originally chartered to serve the civilian employees of Bossier Base, we started with just eight members and offered only share accounts and loans. Over time, we became the chosen financial partner for the employees, students, retirees, and family members of such persons of the Bossier Parish School Board, the City of Bossier, and the Parish of Bossier. In addition, we also serve hundreds of businesses, organizations, churches, and associations. Today we proudly serve any person who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the parishes of Caddo, Bossier, or Webster.
Thanks to your patronage, Bossier Federal Credit Union continues to grow and offer new services to our members. Today we serve over 16,000 members holding more than $60 million in assets offering a wide range of financial products and services. As reflected in our mission statement, we strive to meet all of your financial needs. We truly believe in the credit union philosophy, “People Helping People”.

Who We Are
Bossier Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit, financial cooperative with each member having one vote. Our sole purpose is to provide outstanding financial services to our owners/members. You and your fellow members are our only shareholders and our only customers.
After normal operating expenses and allocations to reserves, net earnings are distributed to members as dividends, reduced rates and fees, and improved services. We strive to regard each member we encounter as our most important asset…because you are. You’re not a number, you’re a member. CREDIT UNION 24
Tired of facing ATM fees from financial institutions other than Bossier Federal?
Bossier Federal is a member of Credit Union 24’s “CU Here” program. Credit Union ATM machines that display the “CU Here” logo will not charge foreign ATM fees to Bossier Federal ATM and debit cardholders*.
Credit Union 24 is a member-owned, full-service network that brings nationwide ATM and point-of-sale access to credit unions and their members. Credit Union 24 is the largest national credit union owned point-of-sale network in the United States. Credit Union 24, commonly referred to as CU24, also counts more than 100,000 ATM locations nationally and internationally, and provides the greatest surcharge-free access network in the country. Bossier Federal members can also avoid surcharge fees by asking for “cash back” when you use your Bossier Federal ATM or debit card for point-of-sale transactions at places like grocery stores, retail stores and drug stores.
